Once you have control over lifting the ball, you can give the ball a chop in the air. This gives you even more control over the movement and you can immediately continue running after you passed your opponent.
Carry the ball to your left foot. Lift the ball with your backhand. Chop the ball in the air. Once you get the hang of it, try speeding it up.
